Take time in this special series to calm the mind, relax the body and nourish the soul with sacred sound healing. In sacred sound healing, Kelvin uses the crystal and Tibetan singing bowls, tuning forks, rattles, hand drum and other healing instruments to release any blockages in the energy fields, calm the mind, relax the body and nourish the soul. The vibrations from these healing instruments have been found to positively affect the human body on many levels. The vibrations assist in releasing any tight muscles, pain, stress, depression and anxiety. Take time out for yourself to practice self-care and bring yourself back into balance. Kelvin Young is a Holistic Stress Management Instructor and Sound Healer.. The first time he was exposed to sound healing, Kelvin discovered that the sound of the crystal singing bowls calmed his mind, relaxed his body, and nourished his soul. He went onto study sound healing with Master sound healers, Paul Hubbert of The Institute for Holographic Sound & Inner Balance and Satya Brat Jaiswal of The international Academy of Sound Healing.. Kelvin has presented around the country in a diversity of settings, including Yoga Reaches Out, Newtown Yoga Festival, Alex Grey’s Chapel of Sacred Mirrors, yoga studios, conferences, colleges, retreat centers, prisons, psychiatric inpatient units at state hospitals, mental health centers and addiction treatment centers. 

Kelvin sustains a healthy lifestyle by eating a vegan-based diet, practicing sound healing meditation daily, spending quality time in nature, and building nurturing relationships with others. 
Today, he continues to share his story of finding freedom from alcohol, cocaine, heroin and other drugs and his methods for incorporating holistic practices in his personal and professional life. He is a passionate about holding space for people to heal, and he is known for his warm, loving, and down-to-earth way of connecting with people.
